Club members can hire sailing equipment at both Piddinghoe and Seaford. We have various types of dinghy and catamarans available. Our hire document below details the craft available at both sites. Daily hire is available on race days at Seaford or on Thursday evenings (April-Sept) and Saturdays at Piddinghoe.
In addition, at Piddinghoe, individuals or families can subscribe to our annual boat hire scheme allowing you unlimited use subject to pre-booking. Annual hire also gives you the codes for the boat store allowing you to take out boats at any time.
All hirers must read and adhere to the terms and conditions of hire described below, and must be registered on Schlott for booking and Webcollect. for payment. This can be done by contacting the membership secretary by email at membershipsecnssc@nssc.org.uk.
For all hires, please:
- Book your boat and session on Schlott
- Rig and sail your boat, returning all equipment to the storage shed as found, then cleaning and returning your boat to it’s berth with the cover replaced and attached after use (if applicable).
- Log your hire in the hire book and report all defects found.
- Daily hirers must pay for their boat hire after sailing on Webcollect before the end of the day of use.
