It’s all about the fun !
Radio Controlled Yachts Piddinghoe (RCYP) is a section of Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club operating from Piddinghoe Lake. We started in 2024 and have rapidly grown, as radio controlled yachts have proven to be very popular.
We meet every Wednesday morning, rain, shine or hurricane, from 1000 – 1230. We also hold open meetings with other Radio Controlled yacht clubs from time to time.
We race a model, DF 95, using RYA racing rules. We regularly achieve at least 12 yachts on the start line, and enjoy competitive, yet fun racing, all year round.
If sailors want to experience the thrill of racing without getting wet, cold and putting your back out, we have two loan yachts, that are available for you to try.
We also run training sessions from time to time and enjoy a regular cuppa after racing, at our Seaford clubhouse.
