Learning with NSSC

NSSC offer some courses themselves. In addition, in collaboration with our training partner, Brighton Watersports, we offer a wide range of Adult and Youth Training courses both on and off the water, including RYA courses and follow-on opportunities for you to practise and hone your skills.

Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club are working with Brighton Watersports Sailing Centre to jointly deliver a variety of courses to both the general public and NSSC members. This partnership frees club volunteers to focus on running the club, race days and events, but also opens up many more dates and courses available to club members, at club member prices

Come to us at any age armed only with a willingness to learn, a bit of spare-time, a modest wallet, a liking for getting wet and we’ll send you away as a sailor, a wind-surfer or a powerboat helm. We’ll then give you the opportunity to practice those skills, take follow-on courses and join in with all the activities the club offers be it gentle free-sailing at Piddinghoe, wind-surfing experiences or racing on the sea. You don’t need your own boat, expensive clothing (just look at some of our good sailors) or membership of the club. Most courses are offered to the public as well as members.

Having perused the sections below about the courses on offer, their dates and costs don’t hesitate to contact us if you need more information: trainingnssc@nssc.org.uk.
