WOW & ASS!

Women On Water

Women on Water (WOW) is on Thursdays at Piddinghoe from 5pm (or later if you can’t make it that early) until 7ish from April until September (starting on Thursday April 21st in 2022). This is an opportunity to become familiar with dinghy sailing in a calm and supportive setting. Guidance is on hand, as well as a safety boat, and sailors support each other while gaining confidence. Men welcome! Members can turn-up and join in. Non-members can come along for a couple of sessions before we ask that they join the club. If you use your own boat, WOW is free, or club boats are available to hire at £8 per session. Boat hire booking and payment is online via daily boat hire or available on the evening. Contact womenonwater@nssc.org.uk.

Assisted Saturday Sailing

At Piddinghoe on Saturday mornings (10am to 1pm) from Spring to Autumn we usually have a safety-boat manned. Assisted Saturday Sailing (ASS) gives members the opportunity to come along and sail their own boat, or hire one through the daily boat hire scheme. You can gain confidence on the water and improve your skills through self-learning. If you’ve not come along before on a Saturday morning, get in contact with the training team who will fil you in on what happens: trainingnssc@nssc.org.uk.

ASS is for members only (and is free except for any boat hire fee), but if you’re a non-member and want to know more about what the club has to offer, Saturday morning is a good time to come along and get a taster. If you want to do that, you must contact the training team beforehand: trainingnssc@nssc.org.uk.
