These courses are for those aged 8 to 16 and are held at Piddinghoe Lake.

Fees. 5 sessions of 3 hours each. Non-Members £tba. Members £tba.
Come every week to meet the friends you will make and enjoy time on the water. Learn to sail as a beginner or improve on what you already know. Have fun and be confident to be on or in the water.
We teach at a maximum ratio of 6 trainees to 1 Instructor, who will help you to learn and practice, and as you progress, RYA certificates will be awarded along the way.
Teaching is to the RYA OnBoard Youth Sailing Scheme, Stages 1 to 4 syllabus and the RYA handbook and logbook is supplied to record achievement.
All our Instructors are RYA trained and hold DBS certificates.
Buoyancy Aids and helmets will be provided, and we have some wetsuits available.
Our boats are, Optimists, Toppers, Picos, Fevas and Slippers.
Beginners will start with Stage 1 and work towards Stage 2 in small groups with an Instructor.
Youngsters with experience will join a group of similar ability and work towards Stages 2, 3 and 4.
Bring your own refreshments or use the Club facilities. Parents and Guardians are asked to remain on site during the sessions and are encouraged to join in and help with supporting their child’s experience.
If a family joins the club as a result of participating in the course, we would like to offer Member benefits of either:
- To discount the joining fee from the membership subscription,
- OR free dinghy hire during supported sailing sessions.
You will also be eligible to join in the Club Cadet Social activities, including camping and sailing during Sailing Week at Seaford and Cadet Week at the Pond.
